I first started instruction in oil paints and pastels at about 14 years old when the school art teacher asked me if I was interested in painting outside with her on weekends. At that time I could not decide which I preferred, oil or pastels, still true to date. I started college as an art major and was sidetracked into a more serious line of study. I resumed art some years later. I have taken workshops with David Jensen, Kim Lordier, Jeanette Le Grue, and Laurie Kersey. I also have studied for the last four years with Sonoma artist, Shirley Roberts. Exhibits "Faces the the World", an exhibit in Willits, California
Facilitating a privately funded after school art class at Sonoma High School is my most fulfilling current project. I work with students in all mediums. I have learned so much from these students and they have inspired many of my paintings. A percentage of my sales helps fund this program.
